What does it display?
A lot. Our beautiful weather forecasts may be the highlight, but the creativity doesn't stop there. Here is the ever-growing list of available modes:

Weather. 7-day, hourly forecasts of temperature, precipitation, snowfall, humidity, wind, cloud cover, daily highs & lows, and more.

How does it work?
Our server sends data over Wi-Fi to your Firefly Map that it displays across 1,000+ LEDs using 65,536 different colors.
How do I control it?

Does it update automatically?
Yep. The forecast will update automaticaly least every hour. You can also set a schedule to automatically change any of the settings at a specific time of day, or even relative to sunrise or sunset.
What do the colors mean?
There is a clear legend on our web app showing the color gradient and the associated values for every setting on the app. Don't worry,
you'll learn the colors in no time.
Can I change the colors?
Yes. Everyone sees color a little differently, so we let you adjust to your preference for every setting.
How bright is it? Does it work in the day?
Bright. With the brightness turned up it still looks great in a well-lit room. With the brightness turned down, it can provide a soft glow akin to a night light.
How do I set it up?
Similarly to a robot vacuum or smart speaker. Your Firefly Map will create a Wi-Fi network that you can join from a phone or computer. You'll be prompted to enter your home's Wi-Fi network and password, and voila, it works!
How does the light and gesture sensor work?
The sensor reads ambient light and adjusts the LED brightness, just like your phone. The gesture sensor can recognize 6 hand motions: swipe left, right, up, and down, as well as moving your hand from near to far, and far to near.
Can I connect to my own app to display my own data?
Not yet. We plan to have an API in the near future. In the meantime, if the
data is static you can always upload it as an image.
Is there a subscription or other fees?
Nope. Weather, drawing, text, and images are all included for free, forever.
